2016 blower noise

Anyone else notice a sort of whistling noise coming from the blower when it's up on high? You can really hear the whistle when turning down from high. Didn't have that sound on my 15.

I know I read a post about the early models having some sort of noise. That was due to ice freezing somewhere when it was cold. I believe there was some bulletin to add a screen. For my 16 I'd assume that was fixed by now. As I mentioned my 15 never sounded like that. I think it's the blower more or one of the ducts is messed up.

are all of your vents open .... i notice when im cleaning my truck sometimes ill close or half close a vent and it will make a whistle noise untill i open it up .... just a thought

This could be "normal" noise from that high quality Chinese or Mexican made blower motor.

9 times out of 10, it's the cabin filter housing cover. Every time I've seen this the filter wasn't pushed in all the way and the door to the housing wasn't completely closed.

Please pull the glove box (4 screws) and make sure the air filter cover is seated correctly.

Make sure all of the vent doors are open, if they are closed you can get that noise as the air still tries to get past the closed vent door.

Please pull the glove box (4 screws) and make sure the air filter cover is seated correctly.

Checked this today. I listened with the filter out and cover off and it still made the noise. All the vents are open as well.

Am you sure it's coming from the blower?

Them it must be the blower.
