Front collision alerts not beeping

Truck is only about a month old and ~2000 miles. The truck originally beeped when i got close to objects in front of me. It doesn't any longer. I turned up the chime volume, even reset everything back to defaults and nothing. The only incident i can recall was a few times during some snow, the sensors were stuck detecting something in front and disabled themselves till after the weather warmed and everything melted. The dash shows accurate, it just doesn't beep. Is this a dealer parts issue, or is some setting out of wack. Is there a way to reset the whole unit?

Does your seat vibrate?

 

I know there is a setting for either beeps or seat vibrate.

Mine doesn't start beeping until all the bars light up which is about one foot from an object.

Ive never heard mine beep. seats vibrate like crazy though lol

No i have the AT package which doesn't have the lane sensors or vibrating seat.

My front beeps sometimes for no reason, nothing at all in front of me. Sometimes the display works like it should, but without any audible alert.

Do you truly have Front Collision Alert or just the front park assist? If you have FCR there's a steering wheel button as well? Only works >25mph. Does park assist work at less than 5mph if you approach a wall?

Maybe I called it the wrong thing. I just have the park assists. It beeps constant at the final level, but it used to slow beep at the furthest levels and speed up to constant on at full bars, closest to the wall.

Same issue as you describe... used to beep slowly at first, now doesn't. Did you ever solve this?

I believe you're referring to the collision alert on/off button. We don't have that.

my 2016 sierra beeped in the past. I have noticed when coming to work when pulling into a parking space the display will show up on the cluster but i do not have any chime/warning beeps. I really dont want to take this to the dealer again...

Same here. Same issue, same circumstance that made me notice.

when my seat vibrate broke my beep started working by default and could not be changed back to vibrate by me in any way except to turn off completely
