HID Bulb Orientation

Hey Guys,

 

What Orientation did you install you HID bulbs? There is a return wire on the bulb that depending on the housing, it needs to be facing up, down, or to the side. Those with a Sierra using the stock housing, what Orientation did you do that gave you the best beam pattern?

I just installed some HIDs in the stock housing a couple of weeks ago. Love them.

 

As far as orientation goes... I didn't really have a choice. Mine all came as one unit and it was just plug and play. There was some exposed connectors that I wrapped in electrical tape. Maybe the 2014 is different then the 2012?

Thanks for the response. I have them already installed. Been installed for 2 years with no issues. However I am double thinking how I have the bulbs in the housing. Before i take my airbox out, i wanted to know how everyone propertly seated there bolts. There is a long stem attached to the actually glass bulb. Just wanted to know what what it was facing in the housing. Up down or to the side.

So I checked mine out for you. The white cylinder of the bulb is facing the middle of my truck. Passenger side is at 3 o'clock and driver side is at 9 o'clock. Other then that I don't really know how to tell which direction its facing without taking them out.
