Borla catback

I ended up going with the Borla S type catback system. Installed it today and really really like the sound. Auto anything had the best price by far after the discount I received. I'm very happy with the system.

^{how much was it from auto anything? How much louder is the atak from the s type? do you have a video? Aslo thinking about getting a Volant intake. Do you have a air intake?}

I'm not sure about the Atak, I've never heard one. but the S type is sounds really good. I will post a video soon. I do not have any type of CAI. It's stock under the hood.

How bad is the drone on the highway if any at all?

I have the GM cat-back but I feel it may be a bit to quiet. Tempted to go get the S-type.

I haven't really noticed the drone.. its surprisingly quiet on the highway.. really sounds aggressive on acceleration though

Just got mine installed. The v4 drone is completely gone. I had a drone at low rpms while in v4 like a tin can. That's gone.

On the highway, in v4, no drone at all. Foot off the gas and its completely silent.

Cold start up and acceleration sounds fantastic.

I do hear like a warble, (a waaa waaa waaa waaa) when just cruising and accelerating. Its a little odd. Wonder if anyone else hears it?

I know this is an old post but I have the Magnaflow that Summit racing is going to take it back under warranty and allow me to switch brands and I am looking at the borla s type and saw you were having a weird sound at startup. Did you ever find out what that was??

They determined it was a defective muffler. A replacement was sent to me.

I have the Atak on my truck, the sound is great. Pretty quiet at idle, but definitely noticeable when I get on it. Drone really isn't too bad if any at all while cruising, I really would call it just hearing the exhaust sound rather than actual drone.

Can't compare it soundwise to the S type or GM Borla as I have not heard any in person.

I made my own Borla cat back, and it sounds nice I used the 40085 XR1 race muffler.

I have the ATAK as duals under the bumper on my 6.2..... love it. It's loud lol.... at start up it snaps like my 6.2 F150 did with headers and an MBRP but just rumbles at idle. On the highway it's quiet relatively anyway when cruising. I find it quieter in the truck than with the junk MBRP I had on the truck prior... which when you got on it did not sound nearly this good or this loud either lol. I guess that's what twice the price for an exhaust gets you...... And well.... my MBRP is a pitted up piece of shit after 8 months that looks 10 years old... this being T304 should eliminate that.

I have the same setup. Keep an eye on the chrome finish, mines already chipping off after less than a year.

Other than that I love the sound the S-Type makes, especially when WOT.
