2016 lights on a '14 or '15

has anyone looked at putting the '16 lights on a '14 or '15? i noticed aftermarket shows them all fitting from 14-16 on the silverado. I hate the reflectors on my 15 LT and after getting the 16 as a loaner for a bit i was envious. any idea on if it would be a plug and play?

I would be interested also if you can but the 2016 front ends on the 14/15 pickups. I am purchasing a wrecked High Country and the front needs some new parts and I was thinking I would like to but the 16 lights on it and the bumper. I have been looking and cant find anything on it. I talked to a custom shop that said they could do it. They hadn't done it and did not know if it was a direct fit. I really like the new frontends on the Chevys.

You can do it but it will be custom. The front clip is different (hood, fenders, bumper, grill) and you will need some custom wiring for the headlights (but others have done this already).

I don't think it has been done yet on a Silverado, just a Sierra so far. Might check with gen5diy to see if they have anything on the Silverado's yet.

Zroadie unfortunately I live in TX and anything not factory I have had issues with at inspection stations. Even if it says dot approved I have to make sure I point it out and argue for a few min with them. As for changing out all sorts on the front the bumper and grill are different. The light housings look to line up just fine. I'm more worried about what wires are used for the new ones or is there any new stuff at all.

I never have problems and I'm in TX also. Where are you at in Texas?

That's the good thing about Kentucky. They don't test here for anything unless the truck is used commercially with dot numbers.
