If you mean charge a travel trailer battery, it should, mine does.

 

I unplug mine just to be sure. I can always plug it back in and get power to the trailer battery, but I need my truck to start. Don't want to run the truck battery down.

Thanks, yep, that's what I wanted to know. Don't know what happened to my subject line. Apparently, "while towing" dropped off or I ran out of space - or had a brain fart, lol!

 

The wife and I are driving from the Dallas area to Big Bend next week. And, I want to load the fridge up and put it on propane while towing. But, was concerned that that if my truck did not charge my TT battery while traveling it might run down. Also, on the way to BB we are going to overnight in Midland with a daughter. So, was also wondering if it would be OK to leave the TT plugged up. But, I like your idea to unplug. Better safe than sorry

There is a relay so that it can't discharge your truck battery by drawing through the camper. It is only a completed circuit while the key is in the run position
