Cold Seats

Has anyone upgraded their seats to cold seats? GM told me this cant be done, but it seems like it could be done. I have a 2015 SLT with the leather heated seats. Im moving back to Las Vegas and cold seats are a must. I just dont want to have to go trade it in for better seats.

Thanks for any help!!

Can't be added. Seat vents, control module, vent motors, rear seat panel, all different or need to be added. Typically means any wiring for them isn't there either, especially on these new trucks. If GM does not support any kind of swap, that's why they say no. If they don't offer a kit, they can't help.

Also, they are just ventilated seats, not cooled. They just pull heat out via the vent motors through duct work that dumps into the rear seat area.

Thanks for the reply... I know they told me 100% it was impossible to switch the center console, yet hundreds of people do it easily... Thats why I figured I would ask as I saw people with Chevys have done it in the past.

Thanks again!

Probably cheaper to get the whole seat out of a salvage yard. You could probably then hard wire it into the switch. People did this on the 03-06

Not true. The 2014 & 2015 seats are cooled. 2016 removed the cooling unit and went to ventilated seats.
