Professional info needed from pro's

In brief, im planing to replace my 5.3l with 6.2l

Current: 2011 5.3 flex fuel lc9(3), 6spd.

Replace: 2010 6.2l not sure about the engine type. Any way to know the engine type code from the block it self??

 

The main thing is it a simple swap and reprogram ecu?? Or some other things must be done?

It seems like no one here did the swap before...

 

Ok i did it and wanted to share the info with you guys,

 

I did the swap and started the engine today and took my truck for road test and it was amaaaazing, so powerfull.

 

Ok about the swap:

4 things are diffrent between the engines mentioned.

-intake manifold

-fuel injectors

-engine starter

-converter pipe, but it can be used without replacing

All the rest parts are the same

And of course reprograme to a standerd 6.2 file or a dyno like i did.

What did the engine come out of? L9H is the truck engine

It was taken from 2010 sierra denali, yes L9H is a truck engine

Im not sure if it is L9H or L94, but sure its not L92.

As i red in Wikipedia:

(...The L92 was modified with Flex Fuel capability for MY 2009 and became the L9H, and was further modified with Active Fuel Management for MY 2010 (and becoming the L94) in the Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon Denali's (interestingly, Active Fuel Management hardware was present in 2007 engines, but the software was not present in the PCM).The L92 started in 2007.

I checked my friends truck 2009 denali by chassis and it is L9H
