Hey Guys,

 

I am new to the full size truck scene, but not new to the automotive scene. Figured I would create a thread for the truck that I bought 2 weeks ago.

First thing I did was removed the air dam. Then I ordered and installed a catch can.

Just ordered a Flowmaster Super 44 3" in/out muffler

I had the same muffler on a Tahoe. Just enough sound without being obnoxious ........ had a Gibson on my last Silverado and loved it as well. Both 5.3l

Looks great. I really like the contrast between the painted badges and gloss black paint. I've always been on the fence about blacking them out but I may try now.

Ya, I used Plasti Dip. It worked well! I did 4 coats in everything.

Flowmaster Super 44 came in today. Removed the stock muffler, V4 valve, and the rear resonator. Replaced it all with 3" pipe and then dumped it over the rear axle. Sounds really good! I just temporarily clamps and tacked it, in case I didn't like it. Will be fully welding it up soon.

Well, I am ordering a 3.5" lift this week. I plan on running 295/70/R17 Cooper STT Pros with this setup.

Also, scored a set of BRAND NEW factory GM rubber floor mats for $40! I hate having carpet mats, so this was good!

Changing direction on tires... Found some tires locally for about $600 less for the set. I am going to be picking up 295/70R17 Thunderer MTs. They have 21/32 tread and are E Load Range.

Picked up my 3.5" RC lift yesterday! Tires come in next Friday!

Picked up my tires yesterday! They are 295-70-R17 Thunderer M/T. Lift is going on this evening... alignment and tires on Monday!
