17" wheels and tires for my 2005 silverado

Hello guys, I am sure this has probably been covered a lot but I cannot find anything trying to search this site. I have tried to find a thread with wheel and tire combos for the 04-06 silverados. I am looking to get some wheels and tires for my truck. From the research I've done I was thinking 17X9 with -12 offset because I have the factory flares, with 285/70/17 Terra grappler G2's. If someone can point me to a thread with pics of different set ups that would great. Thank you

Here is what I went with. They stick out pretty much even with the flares.

Specs:

17x8, 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern
Backspace = 4.5 in.
Max Load = 2200lbs
Finish = Polished
Hub Centric = No
Offset = 0mm

17x10, -12 offset, 285-70-17

2in spacer in the rear because the 4x4 trucks have a wider track in the front and kinda bugged me lol.

If your running 285/70/17 on factory rims, when you got to a -12 offset you might have to trim the plastic on the front bumper because the tire may catch it on turns, mine did anyway even with tbars cranked all the way up. ) offset might work better if you dont want to trim anything.

ok looking at Daryl's truck his stance looks pretty even, i guess maybe it just the 3/4 ton and 1 tons that look goofy.

Thanks guys I appreciate the pics. I think the -12 is what I would want, I'd like it a little wider stance than Daryl's. But if I can find a better deal on some 0 offset wheels, like that look too.

Well I found a pretty sweet deal on some Level 8 MK6 gunmetal color wheels. 17x9 -12 offset for $107 a piece through discount tire. The 265/70/17 Hankook Dynapro ATM's that are currently on my truck have a lot of life left in them so for now I'm just going to put them on the new wheels. I'll post some pics when they come in. I also ordered some tow mirrors to put the truck as well.
