Anyone use Galaxy S7 and Android Auto successfully?

I have no problems using an iPhone with the infotainment system. However, my new Galaxy S7 doesn't do anything when plugged into the truck. (2016 Sierra Denali with the new March 2016 update).

Please let me know if your S7 works.

Do you know if your truck had the update applied to it yet?

Make sure and select charging mode from your dropdown and pick midi mode. The latest update from Samsung won't let you pick that as the default so you will have to pick it each time for now. I haven't had time to research a work around...

Would you tell me how to turn that mode on? All I found is mirror link on and off. Thanks

Plug it in and pull down your notifications, you'll see this:

Pick the connected for charging option and select midi from this list:

Should see it right away as long as you installed Android Auto. Lemme know if it doesn't work...[emoji2]

Thank you tallspawn! It took a while to figure it out as that option only comes up when the device is plugged in (new to Androids). And I still had to un-install Android Auto and then Install it. It worked after that. Thanks again!

Oh and for me to make it work I had to select MTP - Midi did not do the trick. Just FYI to the next person with same issues.

Sure thing! Interesting about mtp vs midi...I'll have to hook up my wife's S7 that has never had AA and see what it does. Might be something to do with me having my S6+ setup prior to the 6.01 update. I'll play around and report back.

Thanks for this info guys! I just got an S7 and a new 2016 Silverado and have been wondering about this, but have not had the time to play around with everything yet.

MTP works on my S7

MTP works on my S7 as well. I do turn on bluetooth first before changing from USB charging to MTP.
