6in Lift Kit Recommendations

Have a black/black 16 LTZ71 double cab that I am considering lifting and putting on 20in wheels with 35in rubber. Been researching a lot of lift kits and have gotten a lot of dealer input on brands. They of course contradict each other depending on who they are reping so need do help. Here is what I'm considering:

Kit:

Pro Comp

Fabtech

BDS

Zone

Wheels:

Rockstar 2 20x9

Moto Metal MO962 20x9

Fuel Octane 20x9

Rubber:

BF KO2

Nitto G2

Daily driver mostly on highway with little to no off road so basically going for the look and not off road performance. With that said, it's still a new truck so quality still important.

Any input or pics of similar setups is appreciated. Thanks gents!

All of those brands have been around forever and make good kits. While offroad performance may not be high up on the list, ride comfort always is. You dont want to jack it up and have it feel like you are driving a mixer. Were you looking at the basic kits, or the ones with the coilover shocks?

Wheels it comes down to preference, I like the Moto wheels as well as the Octanes. We see a lot of Rockstars here in Vegas so I tend to steer people toward something different.

Nitto G2 is a softer tire than the KO2 and will ride better on the street, the KO2 will hold up a little better offroad.

We can get you setup with everything you need ready to install at a great price if you are still shopping around.

Just looking at basic kits but planned on upgrading the rear shocks. I am hesitant on the Rockstar 2s but have yet to see them on my truck in the Chicagoland area.

I just started seriously looking at kits but have been considering wheels/tires for a few months. Going to need a shop for the install so figured it made more sense to work a package deal to help cut on install labor cost.

Trying to be around $4-5k all in if possible which may be a stretch.

What do you think of the zone kits? Could I add the bds coils to that kit later down the road? 2015 gmc 1500 4x4. 6.5" and 35 mud grapplers on factory 20s

The ZONE kit is great. They do a ton of research and development to make them 100% dot legal and complaint with factory system.

You can add any brand of shock down the road really - ICON, King & Fox are all making specific shocks for lift kits that remove the big ass spacer.

My vote goes to BDS with the fox coilovers, fox rear shocks and leaf springs. You should be able to get the kit for about $3-3.3k shipped.

I would go with a 20x10, on a 6" lift. I think the wider wheel would look really good. My 2 cents......
