Got a whole lot done today. I replaced the heating element in my drivers seat. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was goin to be.

And this is what I found once I got the seat cover removed.

Then I went to tackle replacing 2 of the window motors. I actually got both replaced without removing the regulators. Made the job way easier. I purchased these motors 3yrs ago for my 03 Sierra but never used them. Luckily, they fit my Avalanche and it just happen to be the right rear and left front windows that were super slow...

Alittle tight not removing the regulator but a huge time saver.

Out with the old in with the new

Same process on the left front only the regulator wanted to unspool on me. Ya gotta hold the cable spoil when removing the motor or ya will need to remove the regulator haha.

Also replaced the left front door weather strip with an aftermarket unit. It worked great, I'll replace the rest now that I know the figment was on point.

All in all a great day. Everything went to plan with hardly any issues.

Sittin pretty

Sure.... why not haha

My buddy was dynoing his mustang and so we thought it would be funny to throw the warthog on there.

Ok so we only got one run due to the dyno acting up. This was a 2nd gear pull. It downshifted from 3rd and after that is when the dyno was having issues. So we couldn't get another run in 3rd. But by my calculations, it should be an extra 14whp/16wtq if it would have been a 3rd gear pull. (238/281) on a 5.3 with 217k miles & 33's which ain't too bad IMO.

Here is the 2nd gear pull sheet. You can see the short run after the downshift

Decided to do some late night soldering the other night to get my ambient light project rolling. (Same idea that the K2 trucks come with from GM. I really loved that feature so I wanted to make my own.) It couldn't have turned out any better.

33k resistor, 5mm led, led housing and 18g wire.

All done

I knew I was going to mount it on the overhead storage console but it couldn't have worked out better.

The led housing mounted where there was a secure screw to help hold the console up. It also has 4 clips so the screw wasn't needed.

Had to trim some plastic away so the housing would poke through

It's like it was made for it.

So next I grabbed power and ground from the sunroof harness. (Don't worry, it was soldered after testing)

So here it is all buttoned up. It shines down perfect on the cup holders and storage area. Unfortunately, it is a dim light (like you K2 owners know), so the light doesn't show up in a pic even at night, but trust me it does work great.

I like this lighting idea. Where did you get all the parts from?

I'm gonna have to get back in the game soon, you're making me look bad!

Haha sorry man.

I got everything from eBay. But if you'd like, PM me you addy and I'll build you a overhead light setup and ship it to ya. I have enough parts to build like 50 of these things. Or I can just send ya everything you need if you want to build it yourself

Also almost forgot. In the spring, I'm goin to replace the seat covers and add A/C seat kits as well to keep the booties chill next summer ha

16's won't fit if you have the big brakes. I really like that Tahoe.

Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Hmmm ya might be right. It's a Z71 so I believe it does and the stockers I thought they were 16's but just checked and they are 17's.

Thank you, that could've been bad haha. I had 16's on my 03 Sierra so thought I could do the same with the avy
