Which key fob?

Recommended Posts

I did not get a key fob when I picked up my Yukon and I am looking for one, but not sure which one I need. I see some with 3 buttons and some with 4. How do I know which?

if it has command start it will be 4, check your glove box sticker for options

I'm interested in this topic too. I have a 2011 2500hd with remote start. Anyone have a trusted seller they have used before?

I bought two off of amazon for $16 for the pair on my 2006 silverado. They are extremely easy to program.

I believe starting in 2010 or 2011, you have to take your GM vehicle to the dealership service department for them to program the FOBs to your vehicle, it's not like the previous years where you could do it yourself, they have to hook up an actual GM computer of some sort to the OBD port and program it that way. I get my FOBs off of EBAY.

Just go to ebay, type in your year and model + FOB so for example 2012 Chevy Tahoe FOB and it will pull up.

My stock fob was broken when I bought my truck and I picked up one of these till I get my remote start installed. It works great except range is alittle short compared to a OE fob but for $9 totally worth it. Easy to program too
