Hello, all. Been posting in the "Silver Ice Metallic Paint Fans" forum for a few months, but didn't lurk much elsewhere yet. 2015 Silverado 1500 LT. This is my first truck and I will never go back to a car! Modifications so far ...

Took the gold bowties off, replaced with black

Added GPS Navigation system

Added the black factory sidesteps

Added black wheel skins from local company called Suburban Wheel Cover

Added Texas Edition emblems, since the truck is All-Star Edition, I figured "why not"? Besides, I love Texas, lol

Replaced the default all-chrome grille with the Rally Edition 1 version - silver ice paint surround with black inners

Up next ...

Getting all-black Katzkin perforated leather seats put in, within a week or so

Getting the Silverado emblems painted black

Getting Rhino Linings liner put in

Getting a silver ice painted hard cover top put on

Will have a local body shop sand/prime/paint the black tailgate handle the silver ice paint code

Will probably replace the factory speakers with Bose speakers

That should about do it.

Thanks, good to be a fellow GM truck driver/owner, absolutely love it. I test-drove all three American brand full-size trucks. The Dodge Ram - the haven't changed that truck in years and I didn't care for the interior. The Ford F150 - the shocks/suspension was way too tight for my tastes. No offense meant whatsoever, to anyone here who prefers the Z71, off-road, and lifting stuff - those are all sweet and badass, no doubt. But personally, I prefer the soft "boat" ride, like my 1991 Caddy Sedan DeVille was. They don't make sedan cars like that anymore, so frankly, that was the main reason I got a full-size truck - it's the closest thing to that type of ride. I never did test-drive a GMC, but there's not much of a difference, at least overall.

It is fun to see other people's trucks on here, to see what customization people have done with theirs. That's what is so fun about a truck. I never once modified a car of mine. But these? Gotta have 'em how you want 'em.
