2016 V6 Gas Mileage - Impressed!

Thought I'd share with you how well my new truck did on my last trip. I'm really impressed! This is from all hwy miles, going about 61mph.

My V8 is averaging 18-19 right now. Make a 2 hour trip last weekend and it averaged 21.4

These trucks continue to impress me! My last 400 mi. average was 24 mpg, that's a 5.3 with 3.42 gears!

Now do a 400 mile best and let us know what is comes out to. Not saying you don't get good MPG's, but I feel like its easy to report really high MPG numbers on the 25 mile range.

These are some good averages on a 560 mile trip. I see about 17.3 on a 400+ mile trip. But I've got a level, no air damn, and big tires

I've had my 2014 silverado since it was new, I pretty much check the actual fuel mileage by miles driven, divided by what it takes to fill the truck up. FYI, actually mileage is generally 1(one) mpg LESS than what your trip mileage is shown on drivers DIC.

I have found that hand calculating MPGs gets me about 0.5 - 0.75 less than what the DIC indicates. Not a huge difference, but something to keep in mind. Overall I'm very pleased with the mileage on my truck. Getting about 18 - 19 in mixed driving.

Looking good man. I am seeing 21 mpg on a 2016 Denali 6.2 8spd over a 382 mile stretch with lots of remote start for cooling mixed highway and city stop and go traffic and pulling a small enclosed trailer. Truck has 703 miles total on it as of right now. I think I saw like 26 on a short run of 25 miles but that was coming off the cumberland plateau. It is really hard to keep your right foot out of the throttle on this 6.2 power beast LOL.

This 6.2 8spd looks like it is going to get better mpg than my tradein a 2014 CC SLT Z71 5.3 6spd which averaged 19 mpg over a 54,000 mile run.

That's great. Although, did you confirm by hand-calculating? I have a 2016 V6 as well and my fuel economy is usually 3-5mpg lower than what the DIC indicates. I got 15 hand calculated mpg on my last tank, combined city/highway. DIC read about 19.
