New (to me) 2015 Silverado with Questions

Hey guys! I used to have a 2007 Silverado Extended Cab but recently upgraded to 2015 Silverado crew cab. I've done some searching and will keep searching but thought I'd try to ask all my questions in one spot.

 

1. I tried reading in to the RPO codes but I'm not sure if it is possible. My truck has the LT2 package I believe, would it be possible to install factory rear sensors? I attached a picture of the sockets under the rear of the truck and there is an open spot, not sure if that is for sensors or not.

 

2. In my search for rear sensor plugs, I found a cord/plug just dangling on the driver side behind the rear tire but up in the bed, behind the tail light. Anybody have any idea what this cord/plug goes to? See attached image.

That open socket on the 4 socket bracket has a blank black plug with no wires......as per the instructions, used to power the under rail bed lights which turn on with the main bed light from the dash switch..

Hmmmm thats weird. All of my under rail bed lights turn on with the cargo light.
