2016 Silverado Door seals upgradeable?

The Denali and Chev HC have the triple door seals. Both trucks are VERY quiet inside at fwy speed. So I'm wondering if one with, say, the Silverado LTZ can upgrade the door seals to the aformentioned triple-seal variety by ordering the seals from GM parts and installing them in lieu of the OEM seals, or are the Denali HC doors different, say for seal mounting points (ie drilled holes for seal anchors, etc). Anybody here know? Thanks!

I thought all but maybe the WT have triple seals?

That may well be the case. Sorta like the body mounts that are advertised or presented as if they are something special in the Denali line also carry over to the Silverado; but you wouldn't know it by the Marketing presentation...lol. The same thing might apply here as well. If all but the WT have them, then that's very good to know.

Found this in an article about the 2014 redesign:

Creating a quiet interior included everything from adding thicker and denser insulation to incorporating innovative noise isolation strategies. The new inlaid door design is the largest contributor to the Silverado’s reduced wind noise in the cabin. Triple door seals and thicker, 5mm front side-door glass – and a 5.4mm windshield – further block exterior noise. New, low-profile flat-blade wipers also help reduce wind noise.

Think they do, you're right though some marketing probable makes it seem otherwise.

What makes the Denali and any other 6.2L truck quieter is the active noise cancellation that comes with them.

As I understand it, only the 6.2L option gets the ANC feature...even in the Denali. The Denali 1500 5.3L choice does not. "Available with Active Noise Cancellation" (6.2L option) I just double-checked the GMC Denali site. Perhaps that's what you're saying.

When I drove the 5.3 Denali & Chevy HC trucks a few weeks ago, both were about as quiet as the other. VERY quiet interiors. You could have a conversation at a low, normal speaking level at highway speed and not raise your voice, nor strain to hear the passenger. Anyway, neither truck had ANC, and it was quite quiet enough.

Thanks, everybody.

I have pretty loud exhaust on my truck. Flowmater Super 44 single in/dual out and with the windows up I don't have to turn the XM above 1/3 and I have no problem with a conversation. I only have to turn the radio up a little when I put all of the windows down unless at highway or interstate speeds then I have to turn it at about 1/2. I like that the sound is about equal between the radio and the exhaust. I have no problem hearing one over the other. Before I had the exhaust done, I didn't hear a thing from the outside of the cab with all of the windows up.
