Intro

So I just wanted to do a quick intro, my name is John I am a retired Marine and I just traded in my 14 Durango for a 14 Sierra 1500 SLT All Terrain couldn't pass up the deal they gave me plus my wife works in the service department lol. Only had it a day but loving it so far. One question is it odd to have a regular size bed all the ones I have seen have the short box and mine has the regular box.

Yes most have shortbox, a full box is more rare, crew cab, all ext cabs are standard bed lenght

yes it's more rare but to me and some of the guys on here it looks best on the crew cabs... do you have the 5.3 or the 6.2

You'll enjoy participating in this forum. There is a lot of useful discussions and some good information. My last truck was a crew cab with the short box and my current crew cab has the standard box like yours. I prefer the looks and function of the larger bed but still like the cc sb.

I have the same configuration and sure turning sucks but I love having that extra length in the bed.

Oh yes that's something I have noticed going from driving a Durango to this, not the greatest turning radius.

Well with everything you give up somthing. At least less people cut you off in a truck. Although I had someone take my parking spot while I was doing a three point turn to get into the spot lol. I really wanted to hook the tow strap to the little ricer and move it.
