Tire Shine Overspray

Recommended Posts

I have black gloss rims and I always get tire shine overspray on my rims. Anyone have any suggestions on how to stop it besides making a cardboard template the same size as the rim? Thanks!

I did the cardboard trick. Now I use a wipe on product w a contoured applicator. No overspray and it seems to sling less too.

Exactly what I do. Except I still use the same spray on product I always used but now spray it on a contoured applicator instead of the tire.

Use a wipe on product. Usually work better. Armor all extreme shine gel is pretty good but will sling some.

Just got these new wheels & tires. I applied black pearl tire coating. It's a rubberized tire coating that lasts months. It dries clean, no sling. Check it out: http://blackpearltireshine.net

Have you used this before? Do you know how it lasts? Really no sling?

I use a spray on but I spray it on a paint brush and then just apply it that way. Works pretty well. ?

I just use a clean shop rag and always put on by hand with no sling. Spray on rag then apply to tire.

Adams vrt. Apply with a foam block and done. No sling and you can go back over it with a rag to matte the finish if you don't like the high gloss.
