I am having a problem lately with my truck wanting to hesitate bad when I first start off. If I press the throttle more than just a little it basically just sits there until I let off a little then it starts to take off. Any ideas, this driving me crazy.

Throttle position sensor? :happysad:

The way that was described, could be a transmission problem too ...

I had a diagnostic ran on it professionally and everything checked out fine but the knock sensors and the o2 sensors after the cats.

After the cat o2 sensors don't have any bearing on how your engine runs. All they do is tell the government that you didn't gut your catalytic converter out. That is it - not a thing more. They can be used as a diagnostic aid when the upstream sensors are reading off-the-charts, though.

The knock sensor is a different story - that will effect timing in a negative way if it's sending incorrect info to the ECM.

That's why I've been told, just didn't see how, i guess it's time to change them, this only happened after i rinsed the motor off, kind of a crappy design.

Fixed knock sensors but the truck is still having problems. When you mash the gas past about halfway it just doesn't want to go but as soon as you back off it takes off. Or if you just mash it normally it does just fine, and if I'm already going road speed it does fine even if I floor it.

This is also a symptom of a nearly completely plugged fuel filter. Won't run at full throttle, but will idle and run great lightly touching the pedal.

Thanks, I thought it might so I changed it also, no change. Could it be a Mass air flow issue but not throwing a CEL? I installed a spectre filter about three days before I started having issues so I am suspicious of it.

When the truck is idling it is fine, a little rough when cold but otherwise ok. It revs all the way with no problems and it's only after I am in gear and so far only starting off that it has an issue.
