Britt Lifsey Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Nice! Other than 2 decals in rear window, I've just driven and enjoyed mine.
bc-chris Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 hey alanhornet your truck looks great! i picked up a 2014 silverado about a month ago so i'm currently 'making it mine' i was wondering if you could post a few more pics of your tail lights. they look like the recon ones i've been looking at, except i'll likely go with the smoked red ones for my truck can you show what they look like with the lights on, the brakes on and a pic with a turn signal - i'd really appreciate it chris

amxguy1970 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 On coming drivers must love you... If you went aftermarket with the taillights why didn't you do the same with the headlights to do it right and not blind everyone? Tyler

If you went aftermarket with the taillights why didn't you do the same with the headlights to do it right and not blind everyone? Tyler I haven't gotten flashed once and I drove my wife's car in front of my truck they actually aren't bad. They are led kit not the hid. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
amxguy1970 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 HID vs LED doesn't matter, it is how much brighter they are than halogen. Just looking at the pic you can tell how much brighter they are than standard bulbs (hence the reason you said "not bad"), and that is just a few feet in front of the truck and a foot or two above the hood. They probably haven't flashed you because they were too much in a daze to realize what was going on to then find the bright light switch and flash you. Not to mention you aren't making use of the LED benefits and most likely have beam aiming issues. Where a halogen has an pretty much equal spread of light and the reflectors designed for that, LED's have a few diodes that shine light in specific places allowing for dead spots. Either way the housings should be changed to match the bulb to not be "that guy" on the road. Tyler
