2016 Silverado Best Fender Trim / Mud Flap Combo?

Recommended Posts

i drive fairly regularly on dirt roads. Would like finder trim on my 16 silverado (low profile like on Sierra), and also mud flaps. Can anyone recommend a low profile fender trim/mud flap combo? Will the sierra fender trim and mud flaps fit the silverado?

Nice find on that trim. Not a fan of the black trim around the wheel wells of my 2014 GMC. Thinking now....

I'm glad you said that Whaler.... not me. ;)

My wife was leaning toward the Sierra and I just like the front end on the new Silverado better. But what kept getting to me the most about the Sierra was a $60,000 truck with black Pebble grain plastic in the wheel wells on all of them no matter how expensive they were... from the bottom of the line to one that cost twice as much. So we went with the Silverado. :)

Well done. I have some wax residue on these trims. Maybe time for a new truck?

Alexantics, I've been debating the Putco Fender trim for a while. Did you paint the fender trim, or leave it black? Did you use the trim AND the WT mudflaps? If so, that sounds like a great option. If you have pictures that would be much appreciated.

I got them installed right before I went away for vacation so I left them black for now.. I am still on the fence if I want to do a textured flat black on it or a bed coating type finish on them.. I will post pics of them with the mudflaps for you when I get home from vacation!!

From the pics of the putco trim online, it looks like this trim is more cosmetic than protective. In the pic below i can still see exposed paint on the inner wheel well in the back. On a white truck it actually looks kind of goofy with the black trim then a thin strip of white showing on the interior. Alexantics close up pics of the install would definietley be helpful in deciding if this is the trim for me. thanks
