I wanted to track and share my build in my 2015 Silverado 1500 4X4 LTZ +. Build aka "Toothless." I don't have any major plans for it but we all know how that goes. Expect lots of pictures and videos in this thread because I want others to be able to use it for help.

Well here are some pictures from the day I brought her home (12/23/15). It was a Christmas present to myself and my first ever brand new vehicle puchase. Only had 13 miles on it and that was after my test drive. I will post a picture of the window sticker when I remember to but it is completely loaded.

Dealership photos the day I bought it.

About a week later, I had the front windows tinted at 5% (I like them dark) at a local shop. Fast forward to now, and I finally matched the rest of the windows to 5%. It's a little on the dark side but I am still young so I have good eyes.

I threw in some Husky X-ACT front liners and a rear WeatherTech liner. The X-ACT fit like a glove and I am glad I picked them over the weathertech as they feel like they are made a lot better. I opted for the rear WeatherTech because it was cheaper and I very rarley have passengers in the back seat (hence why I purchased the DC over the CC).

Well fast forward 6 months to about now (June-July) and the modding started to take off. I have never been a big fan of chrome so I wanted to remove about 90% but left a some so it didn't look like a WT model. If it were any color besides black or white, I would have done paint to match as it stands out. Since it is chrome, I left the mirror strips (may change this), mirror caps, handles and door trim chrome. I also did two tone kind of thing on the grille to break it apart so it didn't look like one piece. I think it came out pretty good although the plasti dip isn't quite as durable as I hope as I have a few areas to touch up already.

Over the weekend I finally decided on my wheel and tire package. I ordered up a RC 2.5" leveling kit and these wheels and tires from www.customoffets.com. They had great customer service and have been awesome to work with. I went with a 20X10 -24 wheels and 33X12.50R20 tires. I am hoping to see them next week. I also made an appointment for next Friday to have my exhaust done. Will post up pictures and a video as well.

I like those Fuel Nutz wheels, had them on my prior GMC - these will look great with your body color..

Thank you! As much as I love black, I feel like it would make it stand out more with a two tone theme. I am pretty excited to put them on just have to hurry up and wait.

Finished up the level kit about 20 minutes ago. I tried to take some good before and after pictures but we all pretty much know what they look like.

Well they have been ordered so I'm just waiting for them to show up which will hopefully next week. It would be awesome if they did because my exhaust is getting done on Friday next week.

Well Friday was a busy day. First thing in the morning, I had my exhaust appointment. I searched for two weeks on what setup I wanted to go with. I love a good rumble but hate the sound of popping and crackling. I watched a ton of videos and talked to my exhaust guy who has done my previous work and he suggested an Aeroturbine. I had an Aero on my '05 1500 (side dumped 3") but it was so long ago since I owned that truck, I couldn't remember how it sounded. Well I finally picked one and ended going back to Aero.

I went with an Aeroturbine AT3030 (non resonated) muffler, 3"-2.5" Y-pipe, to 3" dual tips. At first it was rather quiet.. and I was a little disappointed. I started it up after the work and it was literally silent, similar to stock. I left the exhaust shop and the guy told me it only gets better after I drive it and it needed to be broke in. After I drove it about 30 miles it was like a whole new muffler. It kept getting louder (in a good way) the more I drove it. I have about 300 miles on it now and it sounds great! It really rumbles at low and mid range RPM's. Well this morning was my first cold start with it and WOW! When it fired up, it sounded AMAZING! At cruising speeds it is hardly noticeable and little to no drone. When AFM kicks in there is a slight helicopter noise but that is dead silent, no air on, no music, all windows up and no one talking. My truck is never that silent so I am happy with it. I debated about going with a louder setup but the more I drive it, the more I love it.
