2015 Silverado 4x4 crew cab LT

I was reading this thread and decided to create account and chime in.

I've always been a GM guy. Last one was a 97 z71 bought used. I got rid of it for a 2015 in June of 2015. It had 200k miles on it, ran great, just normal stuff, brakes, batteries, alternator, fuel pumps. Easy do it yourself stuff.

This new one is the biggest piece of junk ever. I have just under 7k miles. My first complaint was with the transmission shifting weird, it doesn't know what gear it wants to be in. Got the usual, it's in the learning mode bs.

Took it in for a hesitation issue, for 3 days they couldn't duplicate. They finally get it to do it and changed fuel pressure regulator, got it back, towed in the next day. Several days later, replaced high pressure fuel pump. Towed back in the next day. A week and half later, new computer and neg batt cable. The next day they were towing it back in. Next thing was they found the low pressure fuel pump had come apart and pieces were in the fuel tank. All in all they had the truck for just under 2 months.

I've put about 100 miles on it since having it back for a month. Scared to drive it. I still have the same issues with the transmission, it must be a slow learner. The truck looks great sitting in my driveway.

The dealership was great other than not being able to fix the problem.

Working on getting GM to make it right hopefully a buy back. This is the last GM vehicle for me.

Sorry about all your issues but it seems like GM has no interest in quality anymore. I have several co workers w same truck and we have a lot of them in our fleet. It seems like the transmission issue is the same with all of them so maybe it is operating as designed.

Do you mind explaining further on the hesitation issues?

Got an out of the blue call from the BBB this week saying my case was prematurely closed, and was re opened because the original person handling my case did not do there job properly.

The new lady was really nice, I can actually get a hold of her very easily. She said I met all criteria for lemon law in state of Illinois except for being over the time limit in filing and they cannot make GM do anything. Kicking myself for not filing sooner.

But she said GM is offering to extend my warranty for 24 months / 36,000 Miles. I purchased an extended warranty when I bought the truck, and the extra warranty does me not one bit of good since they will not fix it anyway.

I declined, and asked for trade assistance which GM quickly denied. Im waiting on response from the Illinois attorney general and see where that gets me. GM knows I have a bad truck. I wish they would just own up to this.

Hi there....I just bought a used 2014 Sierra SLE,Z71,Double Cab with 23k miles. The truck now has 30k miles on it and has been to the shop 3 times. Once for a recall, once for a loud tick in the motor that sounds like a lifter or valve, and once for an oil change. The dealership has given me very unsatisfactory work/results/answers & claim that the ticking noise is "the high pressure fuel pump" & say its normal...but yet never bothered to change it out or even attempt to make it right. And they are UNBELIEVABLY pressing to get a top rating out of their customers when any service is performed. This truck is due to have the oil changed in 700 miles,it smokes when on the gas to pass, and the "Low Oil" warning came on last night as well...The dealership is who changed the oil and im really starting to think that this truck is a lemon...there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for a truck that has 30k miles on it to be ticking, smoking, rattling rear door windows, driver seat shifts from side to side in turns, etc...I have an extended warranty that i pay for, 6k miles left on my existing warranty, & they still wont fix this vehicle even though they are getting paid/reimbursed for the work... I come from a family of GM employees in which my grandmother retired with over 42yrs of service...I guess my only choice is to hire an attorney and see what my options are.

Do not give them a satisfactory mark unless they make things right for you. That's the only little glimpse of hope and power you have.

BBB claim officially closed after I declined there warranty offer for the second time. Attorney General complaint must have got the ball rolling. I received a call from GM this afternoon wanting to discuss some details with me and requesting my current registration.

It was a voicemail of course as I was at work. I called back and had to leave a message. With the holiday next week I don't expect to hear from them for awhile.

I will update as soon as I get more details.

Indyrabbit, if you romp on it passing your gonna get carbon smoke from the exhaust, and the top end tick is normal with the direct injection.

Update to this. Dealer wanted my truck for a week again, so I got a loaner and waited. Came back with the usual cannot duplicate, and water bottle in cup holder was causing the noises I was hearing. Not happy when I saw the water bottle diagnosis on the service ticket.

Anyway they called a week after I got the truck back and offered to extend my warranty 2 years, 36k again, which I declined again. Today I received a call and they offered me 2k off MSRP of a new truck if I purchased from the original dealer, and waited until my factory warranty was up, which is in 3,000 miles. I also declined this offer.

They called it a GM loyalty certificate? Anyone else out there with issues gotten to this point with GM? Feel free to PM me or post up on here. Thanks.
