my 2015 Silverado has been great. I think if you add up the folks who have perfect trucks, vs those with issues the numbers would be staggering. the only difference is people don't go on rants talking about how perfect their truck is, people just go bonkers when they have problems, so that is what you see stand out.

I can tell you, the chances of getting a Ford with the same issues are just as low. You sir unfortunately are very unlucky and got a truck that has some weird and rare problems, it is unfortunate the dealer cannont duplicate them, because if they did I am sure they would take care of it for you. I have seen a few cases were people get buy backs and receive new trucks(that work out to be great) for some pretty minor problems in their prior vehicle.

so like others have said, the chances are if you switch to Ford or Dodge you will get a good truck, but the chances are just as high if you got another GM. But with the odds like that you will switch to Ford, get a good one and develop a false sense that they make better vehicles, when their are ford owners going nuts over their trucks problems just as much as GM owners Do you realize how many f series and GM 1500's are churned out every year? LIke I said a smallllll % have the issues you are experiencing.

The thing Is the dealer did duplicated many times I took the shop for a minute and it did it for him and they said later on they couldn't duplicate it because they couldn't figure out the problem

I lost many hours at work by having to take this truck to the dealership and all my time no my extra fuel driving it to and from the dealership. I understand if you buy a new truck you might have some attorney issues in certain issues but I had way too many and that is the reason why I won't buy GM again.

Don't get me wrong I am a GM guy. Its all I have ever owned. Biggest mistake was trading my 05 Silverado. Had the truck 7 years and 150k, fluid changes and brakes was all the truck ever needed. Best truck I have ever owned.

I'm going to send an email directly to GM tonight. Dealer still won't return my calls.

I was a die hard GM guys for a long time. My initial drive in the 14 was awesome. I loved the quietness of the cab. Bought it. The laundry list grew like yours, though not as bad. After 9 months I threw in the towel. I don't mind getting a bad truck, especially in the first model year. I just really thought GM would have been better in handling it. I mean, 25 years of GM trucks. I felt like they didn't really care if I stayed with them or not and that really bothered me. The only thing I miss about the truck is how quiet it was.

It took a few days for me to get call backs. They actually called early evening much to my surprise. Customer Service people were actually a bright spot in the whole ordeal. It ended up bad overall, but they were nice to deal with.

I feel your pain. I bought a new 14 Sierra and the list of issues also grew. While preparing to install wheel well liners, I saw written on the left rear wheel under the hubcap "bent" was it bent, I don't know. That was the last straw, with 7000 miles on it I threw in the towel and traded it for a 15 superduty all the while knowing I was taking it on the chin from the ford dealer but I'm not taking up the xss from GMC anymore. I have double the mileage on the ford in half the time I owned the gmc. That in itself shows how satisfied I am because I like driving it and I do. Do like others have done take it on the chin and be happy it's over with or just keep taking it up the xss and posting it here. As for checking out the ford forums, I did and am still amazed how little ford owners have issues compared to GM.

things ive had wrong with my 2014 gmc sierra up to 43500km on it

1.rear spring bolts missing both sides from factory

2. r/s also had 1 cross threaded and not tight

3. fasteners missing from the front bumper and trim(from factory)

4. 11 recalls my truck has had

5. new starter

6. new radiator

7. ac lost its refrigerant, line rubbed thru

8. steering wheel clicking

9. vibration at 60-100km/hr

10. harmonic balancer damaged at the factory(20000km) before it was fixed

11. engine burns 3 liters every 3000km

12. frame rusting after only a few weeks of owning it

13. leaking roof

14. bluetooth and voice command issues since day 1

15. shifts all over the place

16. tranny downshifted 1st or 2nd on the highway and almost lost control

17. pressed the throttle and nothing happened for 5 seconds then all of a sudden redlined

18. tranny flare from first to 2nd. almost always does this

I counted the dealer invoices, my truck has been to the dealer over 50 times in 2 years. enough is enough. all i always get for an excuse is, thats normal or we couldnt duplicate the problem. many times i took the shop foreman out and he witnessed the issue and i still got cant duplicate problem

What about the lemon law with this many issues????

I dont know what my options are here other than to just eat it. I have a 2014 Silverado, double cab 5.3 4x4 LT Z71. I bought new about 18 months ago. I have 25k on it now. It has been nothing but problems. It has been in for transmission issues countless times since week 2 with "could not duplicate problem" each time. Most recently I keep taking it in for a check engine light they cant fix, "rough idle on cold start". My radio they tell me they cant fix goes nuts, you cant control it, it flashes between screens like crazy, always goes to golf radio and you cant change it, calls people on random. I have to pull over and shut the truck off to reset it on my way home from work a couple days a week to avoid calling random people. My dealer will not help me. They damaged my wheel pretty good and left a big grease hand print on my pillar 2 weeks ago when in for service, and refuse to call me back to resolve that. I cant handle this thing anymore. I cant even trade it, I wont function properly long enough to trade it.

Do I have any options that will actually get me anywhere? Who can I contact that will help me?

Make sure that you first contact the dealership owner to let them know you are about to contact GM.

Also, if the dealership can't find any problems with your truck, then they should have no problem giving you full value for it if you trade it in.

work with your dealer, then hammer on gm. with help from both I was able to get an $8000.00 trade in allowance for my 2014 to go towards my 2016. it does not give you any option, but to buy another chevy/gmc, depending which brand you currently have. so, that lets you decide if that is a good or bad thing. I personally really liked my 14, but too many little problems, so far the 16 has been awesome.

In canada we have no lemon laws so we are pretty screwed

Get a lawyer involved and they will step up then. But I know more then one person who got a buy back in Canada. It's just not as simple as in the US.
