Got a voicemail today, and they were closed when I tried to call back after work.

He said 4 out of 8 injectors were showing a miss fire, They had to call gm assistance. Im not sure what that is, but they told them to replace all 8 injectors. He also said they could not duplicate the transmission issues, and that the service manager was going to take it out driving to try to duplicate. It will possibly be done tomorrow.

Im really bummed they couldn't duplicate the tranny issues. I dont want to give this loaner back. It is honestly a pleasure to drive compared to mine. I love it.

I'd suggest replacing the fuel injectors first get that part squared away and then tackle the tranny.. one issue may just solve another? Perhaps.

Got a call that the truck was done, They had an update for the radio, could not duplicate transmission issues, could not duplicate rear end clunk. Which it clunked before I even left the lot. Its gotta be leaf springs??

Lastly they replaced all 8 injectors, Injector 2,4,5,6 were all misfiring.

Only 65 miles on it so far, but I will say this truck, is an entirely different truck now. Throttle response is insane compared to before I dropped it off. I squealed the tires 4 times on accident on the 7 mile drive home, because im so used to having to mash the gas just to take off and not get plowed by traffic. They think I have had bad injectors since it rolled off the line. Also thinking it has been causing the transmission issues im feeling.

Im very glad its driving good so far, but also really pissed I have drove in misery for 21 months and 27,000 miles in a turd, and no one would do anything about it until now. I just hope there isnt any permanent damage from 4 injectors misfiring this whole time, I just honestly can not explain the power difference in this. It is crazy.

I will continue to update over the next couple weeks.

it's great when you feel a bit of kick when taking off from a stop <evil grin>

Well that was short lived. There is something wrong with this transmission. I don't care what any tech says. They need to drive it not than a few miles to diagnose.

I have had 4 hard as hell clunk shifts this weekend I thought my tranny was gonna explode.

Throttle responce still great. But this tranny is not right. Im to the point I don't think anything I say to them will make then believe me. Im bummed out forsure.

Tell the service advisor you guys are going for a ride-- together --and not coming back until he hears/feels the things you are.

2015 Silverado 4x4 crew cab LT

I was reading this thread and decided to create account and chime in.

I've always been a GM guy. Last one was a 97 z71 bought used. I got rid of it for a 2015 in June of 2015. It had 200k miles on it, ran great, just normal stuff, brakes, batteries, alternator, fuel pumps. Easy do it yourself stuff.

This new one is the biggest piece of junk ever. I have just under 7k miles. My first complaint was with the transmission shifting weird, it doesn't know what gear it wants to be in. Got the usual, it's in the learning mode bs.

Took it in for a hesitation issue, for 3 days they couldn't duplicate. They finally get it to do it and changed fuel pressure regulator, got it back, towed in the next day. Several days later, replaced high pressure fuel pump. Towed back in the next day. A week and half later, new computer and neg batt cable. The next day they were towing it back in. Next thing was they found the low pressure fuel pump had come apart and pieces were in the fuel tank. All in all they had the truck for just under 2 months.

I've put about 100 miles on it since having it back for a month. Scared to drive it. I still have the same issues with the transmission, it must be a slow learner. The truck looks great sitting in my driveway.

The dealership was great other than not being able to fix the problem.

Working on getting GM to make it right hopefully a buy back. This is the last GM vehicle for me.

Sorry about all your issues but it seems like GM has no interest in quality anymore. I have several co workers w same truck and we have a lot of them in our fleet. It seems like the transmission issue is the same with all of them so maybe it is operating as designed.

You sound like you are in the same boat I was in.

I was in the same boat as well and last month I finally traded it in on a 2016 F150 and I'm so happy I did, I wish I traded it in last year.

You're so happy, you have to keep coming back to a GM board?

I had the same thing happen to mine. Started at 700 miles on the truck. I got them to replicate it on the 3rd visit with 1100 mile on it. They replaced the torque converter and fluid one visit, no luck. Computer next visit, no luck. After the dealership fought gm to pay for a new transmission and won the problem was solved. The clunk it made was startling.

I recieved an email from the dealer I bought the truck from this afternoon. What are they trying to do here??? Anyone have this happen to them? I blocked out the names.

SLOW3R,

My GM sent this to me and wanted me to pass it along to you. Please reply to this email or call me at xxxxxx if you are interested.

Subject: SLOW3R's 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Salesman,

Please try to contact SLOW3R for me.

I need SLOW3R's 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and can offer top dollar plus provide additional incentives towards a new vehicle purchase, if we can get this deal done quickly. I think I have a buyer for this vehicle. I will make it worth their while if SLOW3R is interested.

You may want to forward this email to SLOW3R. I will honor offer through August 31, however I want this vehicle right now. Tell them I’ll give them a free oil change whether we can put a deal together or not!

Thanks,
