What's a good tire for winter?

I need new tires before winter on my XL Denali. 275/55/20. I live in West MI so I would like something that does well in the snow. I'm thinking Hankook Dynapro AT-M. Any other tires I should be considering? I don't want to spend a bunch. Also will be doing a little off road / trail riding.

Thanks for your input.

Well a winter tire will do well if not more than well in the snow. You are looking for an all season all terrain tire like the Dynapro. I'd say the Dynapro ATM or the Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2 would be your two best bets for the type of tire you are wanting.

Cooper ATW will probably be my next set. Supposed to have really good wet traction too.

Are those new?

They make both, the ATW is just the more snow oriented tire. More silica, tons of sipes. It's probably an AT3 carcass. I'm hoping the dirt performance is as good as the AT3.

Cool. I really like Coopers tires. I'll probably go with the ST Maxx next time.
