Tail Light Covers?

Has anyone put tail light covers on their new Silverado yet?

Interested in something to black my tale lights out: covers, film, spray?

Any info, pics or brands would be great!

Have them painted by a body shop to give them a tinted look.

Are those the GMC rims? Those look really nice with that blue paint! Almost makes me wanna do that to mine... Although my truck is white so they probably won't look that good.

Yeah, I don't have them anymore. They are GMC wheels PVD coated in Black Chrome. More pics in my build thread.

Got these for my 2012.. so far so good. Though I do wish the brake lights would be a bit more brighter.

i have been doing a little research i like the black shiny look but im picky i want a just tinted look not the total black out. was thinking of using some vht night shade on it then clearing over so its gloss.

While it looks nice, I just don't get why people want to darken the rear tail lights which warn drivers behind them of their position and when you are stopping. I've seen way too many vehicles that went way too dark on the rear taillights and at times to the point of not being able to even tell when the brakes are applied.

There is a fine line here, and I agree some people who don't know what they are doing and go too dark.

I have read about some cases here in Oklahoma where if the front vehicle has tinted rear tail lights and is rear ended it remove the at fault from the rear ending driver and makes it a each driver claims on their own policy accident. Ive just never been one to want to dim my tail lights or even head lights, but some people really want that murdered out look for some reason.

Night Shades can be hit or miss, and usually ends up a miss after some time as it fades pretty bad.

That makes sense to me, that should be the case in most states.
