2002 Savana

I bought this van used a couple of years ago. It runs decent around town with plenty of power. I test drove it before I bought it but when I started home with it I had to cross over the coastal mountain range it started to miss and lose power like the fuel pump was going bad. I called the man I had bought it from and he said he knew about the problem and had had it to the dealership several times but nobody could tell him what the problem is.

I am pretty much restricted to travel around town but I really would like to be able to go over the Grapevine or to the coast occasionally.

 

Can anyone tell me if this is a common repair issue and what the problem might be?

Start by checking for stored codes. Check fuel filter and fuel pressure and flow.
