Front Seat Lateral Movement and/or Click Type Noise While Driving

My clunking and creaking drivers seat is fixed!!!!!!

Per one of the previous posts, I ordered GM 13405675 RETAINER-F/SEAT CUSH LATL ADJR  off Amazon for $6.13.
There was already a clip under the seat on the bar on the door side of the under-seat but none on the section of the bar closest to the interior part of the car.

While I did not have to alter the new clip, it was a bit tricky getting it on the bar because of some metal tubing near the bar. But I eventually clipped it on, zip tied it and prayed!

It totally worked.
Pretty sad that I fixed it myself for $6 and the dealership couldn't fix it the 4 times I had my 2016 Yukon in the shop!!!!

I installed some rubber hose as a grommet and put some hose clamps around the bar in the location we are all talking about, and so far it seems to be working.  My truck had a pretty significant clunk when making turns at slower speeds where the weight would shift from side to side.  

 

Its a 2016 model.

Has anyone that had the dealership repair this had success in getting GM to cover it a second time? My 2015 was repaired under warranty early on - I believe there were less than 10k on the odo. Now, at 72k+, the problem is coming back.

 

I talked to my dealership and they can't commit to anything. They'll only say that they have some sort of 'calculator' that they can plug information into and it will tell them what percentage of the repair GM would cover.

 

IMHO, the 'fix' should have been a fix. Not a short-term workaround as it seems to actually be.

Its less then $10 for the parts and a few minutes to fix, why even waste the time bringing it to the dealer?

I see that the part is pretty cheap, but I haven't found a really good writeup for DIY. The comments are kind of general, the TSB says you have to pull the seat out of the truck.
