Painted my headlight reflectors and plasti dipped the grill

Started out intending on just getting some haze out of the inside of my passenger side headlight. I couldn't just bake it apart and not paint

looks good, what temp and how long did you bake them for?

270 for 12-15

 

Took a few times I think the key is don't try to get it all at once or you will crack the lens(ask me how I know)

Just taking my time...actually I cracked one of my lenses and I'm waiting on a pull off headlight to come in so I can carefully harvest the lens off lol . Got the drivers side completely done and sealed up though and the grill is done as well just have to reattach the emblem.

Curious as to why you plasti-dipped the grill rather than a straight color change.

 

I have peeled that stuff off of emblems and find it a pain to get all the little crevasses. Pretty sure I would be buying a new grill if I had to peel that stuff off later.

 

Were you looking for something that was easily touched up, future color changes, something else?

I wanted to match my emblems which I have also dipped.also the anthracite plastidip is very very close to matching the fender trim. I debated forever about getting the grill painted but wanted something besides iridium I felt with it all color matched it would have that 1995 Dodge Ram sport look

Thanks man I got the idea from a pic I found of an iridium Yukon Denali with the emblems and grille plasti dipped with the same anthracite color.
