Ride Hight Adjustments

I just got a 2016 Sierra 2500HD SLE. I have been thinking before I even got it that I would like to level the front end. I have doing my research and from what I get from most of you is to use the stock keys and shock extensions and you will not affect the ride quality but would still need an alignment. I am only looking to level it up some but still want nice ride quality. Then I found this in the GMC Sierra HD catalog that I picked up at the dealer. It is where they show the features on the frame and suspension. " Independent front suspension, Sierras HD's independent front suspension is designed for heavy-duty punishment as well as ride comfort. With the available snow plow prep package, Sierra HD achieves a gross front axle weight rating of up to6000 lbs. You can make seasonal ride-height adjustments in minutes with a single wrench." I have looked in the owners manual and have not found anything on how this is done according to GM. I would think they mean the bolt on the torsion keys right. But how do they recommend doing this? What about the alignment and shocks? Sounds like you can just hit it with the wrench and be done.

When you adjust it to compensate for the weight of the plow, you are putting it back to 'factory' ride height, so no other changes or alignment required.

Anytime you adjust the keys you need an alignment, IMO. I am not and expert but anytime I adjusted the keys or leveled a torsion bar truck and got it aligned, it would be out of alignment before the alignment was done. If you crank your factory keys it will ride rougher, and if you do decide to do it I would only crank them one or 2 turns so he UCA's aren't riding on the bumpstop. I had my truck like that for a while and didn't like it so I did the whole cognitio front end and fox shocks. Expensive but will solve the problem.
