AC in 2015 does not get very cold.

Manual AC systems have no problem getting the discharge temps down to 40F within minutes. These made for an awesome ride in the summer. The problem is GM's automatic climate control. I suspect that the difference i have noticed between my last three trucks is that my new truck has the automatic temperature control. However, I still have the rear vents. I find the automatic system very effective and comfortable.

Even the manual control ones struggle. My '15 W/T only gets to 48 degrees and that's it. I had the garage look at it, they said operating as designed and even gave me a printout. Manual controls and all.........

I too have noticed my '14 doesn't get nearly as cold as my '08 used to. To me, the air feels the same when the temp knob is set from 60-71 degrees, When I turn it to 73, then the air starts feeling a little warmer.

Can you give me more information as to how to "fix the temp sensor from the front side of the evaporator or simply cheat the control module by providing a modified reading from the temp sensor to make the ac working continuously until the pressure cut off occurs"!

when you remove your glow box compartment you ca see the evaporator housing remove the temp sensor from there and close the hole with a tape! and from the front side of evaporator drill a hole and fix it. or you can let it be outside without hanging by using a tape! that may not damage your evaporator housing too

I recommend checking with a shop specializing in automotive air conditioning before doing home remedies. The measure of the quality of a good HVAC system in your home or vehicle is not its ability to freeze or fry the occupants. You are looking to maximize comfort and these systems, if working properly, do this very well.
