Hey guys I'm about to buy a black oak 30" light bar and was curious if anybody had pictures illustrating how they mounted their light bars behind the grill on the 2016 Sierras. Anything would be greatly appreciated so thanks in advance.

Rough country sells a bracket for it.

And the bracket is compatible? I'll check it out and see what I can see

There is a little Crossbar in a V shape behind the grill. Most mount to there you will need to buy or fabricate mounting brackets/

Yeah you're right I feel like the shop will have to fab some brackets up real quick for me

I camp a lot so it gets quite a bit of use. I assume most get it for looks.

Do all models have the active shutters behind the grille or is it just the Denali?

I was looking at my '17 last night because I'm wanting to add a light bar behind the grille and I noticed these shutters. I'm pretty sure my '14 Denali didn't have them.

I have the rough country light bar/kit and am real happy with it. Had it since last spring, I also camp a lot. As far as "get it for looks" goes, most people don't even notice its there behind the grill unless they are looking real close, which I prefer. I think people who are going for looks, they put it up on top of the cab.

since you both have GMC . Do you think a single one will work on a chevy midnight edition Z71 grill with crossbars ???? or go double ????
