Best tuner for 2015 Silverado 3500 Duramax??

My buddy has a 2015 Silverado 3500 HD Duramax and asked me to post this questions on "my forums" for him: What is the best programmer/tuner for his truck? I believe he is mostly concerned with fuel mileage. Thank you for any and all help and advice!

I think his best bet would be to go ask the folks over at duramaxforums.com More of the tuner crowd over there, most of us over here keep em stock. Most of the folks back in the day liked Idaho Rob for tuning, but I'm not sure if he's doing stuff for the 2011+ crowd because of all the emissions crap. (which do rob a good 1-3 MPG for fuel economy) Gotta be very careful now with warranties and emissions testing, if your friend has those where he lives.

Like Colossus mentioned, go over to duramaxforum.com for tuning. Idaho Rob, Moonshine and a few others have been mentioned over there for LML tuning.

 

Other forum is dieselplace.com, guy over there named Kennedy, he does tuning that will keep the emissions.

 

Also, if he is planning on tuning, he should look at a lift pump and an Edge Insight CTS2 for monitoring.

Is he wanting to stay emission compliant or delete? Either way, the warranty is going to be gone.

 

Duramax Tuner (Nick), ATP (Idaho Rob), Ridgerunner (Tony), David Kennedy, PPEI (Kory) are all great tuners and could set him up nicely.

 

Nick, Rob, and David all focus mainly on the emissions compliant side where as Tony, Kory, and MotorOps (Canadian side of Duramax Tuner) all do delete tuning and compliant tuning.
