i tried holding the switch in the up position over the summer but it never did anything. I'll try this method when I get my truck back from the dealer today. Thanks.

It worked for my truck!!! All is good now for the auto up.

Nice. Think I'm going to get a set of the AVS in channel ones then.

You did the up/down, up/down, then hold up for 10 seconds?

I went down, hold for 3-5 seconds. Went up, hold for 3-5 seconds. Let go and then hold up again for 3-5 seconds. Worked perfectly!!!!

Do you have the AVS 194536 or a different set? Any issues with the back ones bowing inwards?

That's what I have. First ones from advanced auto were scratched to hell. 2nd set was old style with the tabs instead of tape on whole perimeter. 3rd set looked okay. Put them on my truck and the auto up worked 50% of the time and the rears did warp and would touch the window in the summer. Only had them for about a month or so. Rear windows wouldn't roll up eventually because they hit the rain guards.

Called AVS/LUND and told them my problem. They mailed me a set and they came in scratch free. Installed them and haven't had any rear bowing on this set. Reprogrammed the window indexing yesterday so the auto up works all the time now.

It took a while, but I can say that I am satisfied now. :fingersx:

I know I had a copy of the reprogram instructions from the ADI manual (used by dealers for installation of accessories) but I can't find it anymore. Mine are EGR (GM Accessories directly from the Chevy dealer) so maybe it came from EGR??

Anyway glad it worked out!

Just got a set of the AVS in channel ones off amazon. they look to be the older style with the tabs for the front, so it'll be interesting to see if i have problems with the rears.

I have not used or seen the in channel visors installed. My question is, will that cause the channel to be tighter than normal and possibly cause scratching over time?

I am trying to decide if that's the way I want to go, or use the stick on ones. I have used those on previous trucks but always wondered about the in channel version.

I am bummed, I got a set of weathertechs and the rear door visors were both cracked on the edges. The vendor told me "that it is normal for them to have broken edges and try installing them anyways." :dunno: I went ahead and tried to install the rear visors but for the life of me I could not get those damn clips to hold the rear visors in. :banghead: So I am sending them back and ordered a set of the EGR visors. I hope those work out better!

Just installed my AVS ones. This was the last warm weather day for quite a while it appears, so now I have to wait the 3 days with the windows up for the adhesive to set. Installation only took about 20 mins. Most of that was trying to peel off the tiny pieces on each of the tabs. Didn't have time for a pic, but I like the look of them. Breaks up the plainness on the side of the truck. just wish they didn't have AVS on them in white lettering.
