New (used) exhaust v1.0

Put the truck up on the ramps Sunday, been looking at and thinking of exhaust options. Time to get to work

out with the "old"

 

First version, rear exit with resonator and 22" Magnaflow

 

more parts on the way, going to do a sid exit w/o resonator next

Not too loud, not too quiet

I measured the muffler inlet, 2.75" is all there is, even tho pipe is 3.5" leading up to muff

 

The system I used for parts is complete cat back from my '11 6.2 Yukon Denali.

 

Used the muffler, over axle pipe, and cut and welded the resonator and tail to fit the Sierra.

 

Looks and sounds good, just the resonator is too close to the spare tire for my liking.

 

Ordered couple mandrel bent pipes and a new tip from Summit, be back under there in a couple days.

got back under the truck wednesday.

 

Pipes from summit are beautiful, tip quality very good too

 

3.5" polished SS and a 3.5" in X 4.5" rolled edge outlet

 

I am very pleased how it came out

Butt welded new pipe

Clamped tip in case I change my mind

I think the tail pipe hangs a little low, should have been tucked up a bit more

Agreed, but not an easy task.

i cut and tacked it several times, but it was moving under body as much as up.

So it is what is is........lol
