This won't do any good. The inner metal sleeve cannot rotate in the rubber bushing. That is the problem. It is adhered to the rubber. The noise you hear is the rubber resisting stretching just like your tennis shoe would on a gym floor when you come to a sudden stop.

Try some Amsoil HD metal protector. Spray it in and around bushings. When dry does not attract dust and dirt.
