The magnet doest determine the power handling. It's the coil and suspension of the driver

The truck is 16 1500 ccsb with 8" nav non bose its not going to be a competition winner just something i can have fun in

First i don't mind spending money, on products that will work depending on how much, etc it's going to be a work in progress build.

I am thinking about the alpine restyle system yes it's extremely expensive but i do like the features it comes with and will be adding lights, etc to the truck so that means no switch panel (cleaner look) plus i have a gauge cluster which replaces my android phone. Plus it looks clean and factory since I don't have seat warmers i hope they can make a bezel that fits what i got

Now time for speakers i am not brand loyal but will pay for the performance and quality

http://alpine-usa.com/product/view/chevrolet-silverado-gmc-sierra-restyle-sound-system-pss-31gm/i like this system mainly because of the zero space sub (i got the under seat storage and dont want to lose it) that sub mounts to the back of the cab. but i cant get sub by its self and crutchfield said it wont work for me(the whole setup).

I do know i will be doing a small amp for door speakers and new tweeters in dash (I probably got one close to blown?) regardless of what route i go with. Where does my warning chime come out at? I wanna say it comes at my left door speaker? Others say the dash.

Would it be wise replacing the door speakers before anything else? These factory ones while hit decently still sounds like crap..also best for bass and sound overall 6x9s or 6.5" door speakers? I know the rears are smaller will also see about adding some sound deadening in the doors (trucks quiet already)

Minus my cruze all i done was door speakers.

Way off topic what about taking off the center jump seat and adding full console? I guess i will lose my under seat storage space for the front seat? But gain added room?

Blackhawk71 I have the system you originally talked about ( Alpine x110-slv head unit and the Alpine pss-31gm speaker system). I was skeptical because the equipment was fairly new and couldn't find anyone who had any of it so I could check it out or see how the speaker system sounded. After I installed all of it I was blow away how good it sounded. The mid bass is unbelievable and it's because the front doors are 8 inch mids. The 10 inch sub does a good job and alpine put the 8inch mids up front to add more bass that the single 10 inch lacks and they got it right. Alpine actually did a good job on the entire speaker system and the staging upfront is really good.

Thank you I am hoping it will work for my 16, crutchfield said it wont because of the 3 way system? Even if i can find their zero space sub that would be nice,

On the sub (i am just wondering) i know it mounts to the cab wall, (does it sit more towards the floor or in the middle?) so i can still have stuff behind my organizer tray. Right now i got a bottle jack (not the fake gm one), and a small bag (jumper cable, etc) behind one side and the tire tools in the other side (that's probably where my amp will go.)

Also is the alpine deck worth the 3k?

I will be adding the control center module as well

For lights front and back and may add a air compressor (hopefully i can add a custom setup on screen to control it. So i dont have to mount any gauge clusters) more then likely setup http://mobile.viaircorp.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.viaircorp.com%2F&utm_referrer=#2901wil also add train horns and air bags on the rear (if i go that route)

There is still some room around the sub but not much it does mount more towards the bottom but plenty of room on the passenger side next to the amp. Honestly I don't think any radio is worth 3k but I wanted it for stock look and for adding aftermarket accessories like you state but haven't used that function yet. Oh and you have to buy a separate module that controls all the aftermarket functions, you think that would be included for the price. 2ffef8f844c763d6540c94dc766ec2f5.jpg

Ya thats what I noticed, also i think I found out why the speaker kit won't work. My rear seats doesn't fold towards the front like yours? Or am I missing something?

Didn't even know Alpine had this system available, must be fairly new. When I searched it, came up with just the speaker system kit #SPT-31GM. With exception of modifying the dash filler panel, it's as imple plug/play as you can get. They even factored in correct harness adapters.

I modified my rear seats to fold down, i can't remember who but someone on this forum did it and it's pretty easy to do

Didn't realize you could do that will go thread hunting later on tonight.

But i may have found another sub option or should i pass (if possible drivers side behind the seat on the floor) i am sorry for so many links, also when paired with 6.5 mids (or should that replace the front speakers?) and 6x9 in the front doors with 2.75" in dash speakers would it be the sound i am looking for?

The sound for bass nice and deep without being over powering.
