Michelin tires

Ok so I just purchased my Silverado 2500. I've always run Michelin on all my cars & trucks. Question for the group. I've got Goodyear 265/65/20 on there now. Should I go 285 or 275? I want the smooth highway ride of michelins and want a talker tire to fill up the wheel well. My 2500 is an ltz z71 crew cab. Thanks

Correction. I have Goodyear 265/60/20. Looking at Michelin ltx defender ms2 285/60/20 or 275/65/20. Thoughts ?

I had to take the truck in for the infamous loose steering problem so I put the stock 275 70/18s, on the stock spoke chrome rims ,back on so as not to start a storm over the cause of the steering lash. All done now so as soon as I get the 20s back on I'll try to post up a pic.

After my second snow season has started, and 12,000 miles on my Michelins, I'd dump those things ASAP!!!! I am so disappointed in them, I lose traction all the time and have NOT had the problem in other trucks.

Running 275 65 20 BFG KO2's. Impressed overall with the tire. Good snow traction, somewhat quiet - getting noisier as the miles go on. Only small but expected disappointment is they seem to be wearing fairly quickly. 11k miles and down to 10/32" from 15/32 to start. Towing our boat causes the wear.

Will most likely try the new Defender LTX M/S or the AT/2.

Can you send me a pm about this loose steering problem,,, On mine it seems I get a shake in wheel when like the front end gets light from going over rough roads or going fast over wavy roads on the down side, is this what you encounter ? thanks

rc : my steering problem was a "loose " steering box. I could move the steering wheel back and forth about 3 inches without the wheels moving . The truck would wonder on the road and I had to counter constantly. Look back in the forum as there is a topic thread with several post to provide you with a lot of good info.
