the gmpp warranty has paid for itself many times for us. i have to make a decision on mine VERY soon. my 15 has the 100k powertrain and all the dpf crap is covered under emmision warranty (if not it will get a delete. but there are so many electronics in my truck i kind of like the peace of mind. but i am not sure this time either.

As stated above, you can negotiate the warranty cost and if you are a low mileage driver like I am, the cost is not that bad and gives peace of mind for 7 years. I had it on my 08 Duramax and kept that truck for 8 years and never used the warranty because that truck was flawless and the best truck I have ever owned. So much better than the

65, 75, 80, 81,88,94,00,04 & 05 Fords I owned. Am I sorry I bought the 7 year bumper to bumper warranty?

Not one bit and the last year I drove the Duramax without a warranty I was a little nervous because we all know about the whopper repair bills you can have with a diesel. I did all my own service on that truck, just oil and filter changes. I have the 7 year bumper to bumper on my 16 High Country which is loaded with high tech electronics and I hope I never have to use it.

My 08 did have a couple recalls, the heated windshield washer which I loved but GM could not make it safe and disabled it and gave me 100.00 and when I sold the truck it still had an open recall on the passenger air bag like a million other vehicles on the road.

I like it because it's pro-rated so if you sell before it's up you get a portion of the money back. I usually just extend the bumper to bumper to match the power train so everything's covered for 5/60,000

Ok guys, I signed papers today and I ended up purchasing the extended warranty. For the price I got it for I just couldn't pass it up. 5yr 100,000 bumper to bumper GM warranty, paid $1475.
