2014 Silverado Front End locking?

Turning into my parking spot this last week I noticed a jerking as I turned tight (felt like I'm in 4WD but I'm in 2WD). I had noticed this in the past but thought it was maybe ice on the parking lot that was causing my tires to slide forward and catch dry pavement etc. I did a little testing, in dry parking lots. One test, outdoor temp was 35 degrees - truck turned in circles both way with no issues. Tested this morning, outdoor temp 18 degrees, dray pavement and it was jerking like I was in 4WD, but not quite as excessive.

Any idea what's up? I remember the dealer last winter mentioned something about them doing a flash to the TC, but if that's been done - any thoughts? It's in 2WD and drives down the road just fine.

Very odd...

VIN 3GCUKREC8EG247126

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Pete

Go find a big mud puddle and see if it is REALLY in 2Whl drive? I suspect that a lot of people complaining about their bad gas mileage have a similar problem...............

Weird, seems to be temp related. I know mine when turning while barely moving during cold temps mine will not necessarily jerk, but its like if you were turning on snow or loose gravel or something. Like traction control kicks in or something. It is weird, and mine is directly correlated with cold temps as well. Not sure mine is the same as yours as it doesn't jerk like it is in 4wd, but mine is weird. I can't really explain it well.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. After putting mine in auto or 4wd, I always test it out to make sure it is in 2wd, besides who doesn't like getting the backend a little loose every now and then and this just gives you an excuse.

Def in 2WD. We've got a lot of ice right now (my driveway is coated), if I stop and tap the gas only the rear spins.

I have never noticed anything like that happening with my 14 or this new 16 unless it is in 4whl auto or of course 4whl high

Maybe you could turn off the nanny devices and see if it still does it? Note: We actually do get some cool weather here, it has been in the single digits here a couple of mornings but maybe it has to be like 20 below zero?
