assuming since I cannot find it or get an email back from their support team they don't sell this anymore, or just are not in business anymore? anyone know if that HDMI kit above is available for a 2017 Silverado with 8" NAV?

I just ran across this thread. I have a 2017 LTZ with NAV no rear seat screens. I tried a USB Flash Drive formatted in FAT32 with .MP4 movies. I tried it with just the movies in the root directory, no joy, tried them in individual folders, and you can see where it list the folders but when you go into them My Link says content unavailable. :tear: Maybe someone out there can figure it out.

If you haven't been in touch yet I can confirm they are very much in business. Just swapped mine over to in dash dvd/bluray and unlocked the nav/video in motion with MVI's components. Best path to open communications is getting to Anthony. Did you call the number off the website?

Well I just asked my dealer and he said video is not supported in my truck, I let him know in 2016 it was so he was going back to service to see if I can "go back" a version or two and or get a later update... this is a huge BS move on Chevy's behalf.. for the amount of $$ these trucks cost nowadays its unacceptable... they just want us to go buy 3rd party expensive overrides I guess. but even that's limited.. I also cannot wait for Android Auto to hurry up with WAZE maps to come out.. *I have IOS and Android so I would still be happy with it on Android*

also if anyone can confirm that their 2017 8" mylink with nav but no rear seat ent. is working for videos that would be helpful. TY

It dont work on my 2017 either.

Apparently GM has restricted USB video playback (even while standing still) on the infotainment systems of 2017 models unless you have a rear DVD system.
I'm so upset that they would do that. Works fine on 2014-2016.

Buying the IN-MOTION Bypass device will not work to make videos play on the 2017 models. I guess GM is so money hungry that unless you fork over the money up front to get the rear DVD system they are not going to allow you to watch videos on the front screen via USB anymore.

That is about as bright as the idea to remove the rear passengers AC Vents.  Makes me want to buy a Ford or a Dodge.

Good, probably the single most idiotic thing anyone can do while driving is having a video play; that is exactly what I want to be driving next to in my vehicle or motorcycle is some yahoo with a movie or show going.

Rear vents are pointless, they are very good at cooling your knee and for the perception, not actual legitimate function. Unless the truck has a second blower or unit like the cuv/suvs the rear vents are horribly less efficient than what comes out of the front vents, think how much further and where the piping is for those vents; they pick up heat from underneath the vehicle so it is less cool than what comes out of the front and at much less volume of air. Being in Texas I have never once heard complaints of the truck not being cool or getting enough air in back and I have a darker color truck...
