Hard Starting

Im having a problem when starting my truck, usually when its warm. It'll start, rev up to 300-400 rpm's and then die down... Go to start it again and it turns over 6-7 times and finally starts up. This just started to happen recently. What would cause this to happen?? help is much appreciated

Fuel pressure regulator. Can change it yourself. Top of the engine on fuel rail.

When a fuel pressure regulator dies out, fuel will leak past the diaphram inside the regulator, and it will actually cause raw fuel to enter vacuum hoses. When this happens, your truck is flooded with too much fuel when it starts, causing rough/unstable idle.

If you have over 30,000 miles, replace your fuel filter too

Yea definatly do it yourself, dealer did mine Friday and cost me 375 bucks! Guess what, still tough starting and rough idle. It goes back today! Did the fuel filter last month just to be sure. Thinking carbon build up in the induction system right now, but it's late.
