Leveling kit question

I'm wanting to get a leveling kit but was wondering if the kits that go below the stuff are any better than the spacer that bolts to the top of the strut. Or is there not really any difference?

You could do like me and get the kit that has spacers on top and bottom for a full 2.5 level with no rake at all. I'm probably gonna catch hell for saying but spacers are really an inexpensive and half assed way to go. A good set of adjustable Bilstiens or Fox shocks is the best way to go.

I don't think you'll catch hell. But there is a manner of doing correctly and doing it better. Spacers level the kit just as they are indicated to do. Bilstein is just doing it better. I think you hit the nail on the head. Just remember the price point. Does leveling your truck mean the extra $$$ for fox or bilstein?

I just paid to have mine done by a local shop because I'm trying to get over botched knee surgery and MRSA infection. The spacer kit was 149 bucks because it came with the rear blocks and I got reamed on labor and alignment. If I were to do it again I would definitely go the shock route for just a couple hundred more. Now of course Fox would be quite a bit more but your getting a full coil over assembly and, well just look at the Foxes. They're like porn for trucks. Lol
