Good choice. Basically the camera I have except I opted just for the 1CH.

The only problem I will say is GM will blame electrical issues on the dash cams. I am going thru that right now with the HMI issues I am having on my 2016 truck. Only bad for GM is they replaced 4 HMI modules in my truck before I put my dash cam into the truck, I have invoices that can prove that time line. The service department is on my side as is the GM executive liason handling my case. It is the GM Field Service Engineer that wont budge as of now, says he wants the dash cam removed before he will look at the issue again.

I have the Thinkware Dashcam x500 dual camera setup on mine. 1080 recording front and rear, bought the hardwire kit and it comes on with the truck and continues to record when the truck is off if something bumps the truck or if something trips the motion sensor.

I got my truck back. They didn't put gas in it. Instead they just said to not put gas in the loaner since they would be placing it straight on the lot for sale.

Couple pics of it cleaned up now.

I didn't hard wire mine in. I can't see how me plugging in an "accessory" to my cigarette lighter would cause an issue for them. I understand their concern if an accessory is directly related to an issue, but if they can't prove that they should stand by their customers. Do they expect everyone to keep their trucks stock??

How much gas did they go thru exactly?

Right at a half tank.

The FSE and the GM Engineering department both say the HMI is shutting down and re-booting due to electrical burst of interference from the dash cam, even though it wasn't even in the truck when the issue started. They say it is a safety protocol in the HMI to shutdown and re-boot when it sees interference. I called BS on it, I asked them why doesn't it do it every time my phone sends or receives a call/text. They didn't answer back to that. Sounds like they are grasping straws as to what was causing the issue.
