That pickup is actually all wheel drive. The GMT900 half ton, Denali trucks were available as 2wd or all wheel drive.

The guy with the car didn't do bad...they should have handicapped the truck for running awd.

 

I wouldn't have even lined up on that bet for the simple fact you were going to lose off the line rwd to awd.

Awd should always be able to get the launch on the street. If that was at a track, with the Hellcat on the proper tires it would most likely be a dead heat with reaction time playing a role.

When I had my awd TBSS it would hurt a lot of peoples feelings on the street. It would only run high 12's at the track, but catching a light weekend nights was a blast. What helps even more is when you leave on a faster car and they forget how to drive the thing, race over.

It's funny, I beat more cars, I think simply because I surprise them when they don't actually expect it to be competitive!
