Matt9285 Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 2015 Sierra SLT Crew Cab here. Anytime I hit a bump, in the rear driver side seat area, there is some serious squeaking going on. I can't replicate this noise myself when the truck is parked. I thought maybe it was the leaf springs or shocks, but when I stand on the bed or rear bumper and jump up and down, it is silent. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this squeaking?
Dwp_Silveraydo Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 I have a 2016 Silverado Crew Cab and I have had a squeak coming from the rear driver side door. In my truck I have narrowed it down to coming from inside the door somewhere. Try opening the door and moving it back and forth without closing it to see if that is a potential noise maker.
15_silverado Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 If you think the noise is coming from the rear springs, try shaking the bed side to side. Just jumping up and down may not replicate the sound.
JimCost2014 Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 have your dealership re torque the bolts holding your drivers seat. my 2014 divers seat squeaked like crazy, then they tightened the bolts and the noise was gone.
