2017 1500 POWER FOLD Tow Mirrors

Ok Guys,

 

I did quite a bit of google searching, searching this forum and calling every dealer in my area. I have had many different answers and I am super confused.

 

I just picked up a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate and need to install Power Folding Tow Mirrors. I know it was possible on the 2015 year model.

Today I was told 3 different answers from 3 different dealerships:

#1 it is only possible on the 2015 not the 2017 ?

#2 It is possible with the 2017 3500 Denali Power folding mirrors, harness & BCM Programming but not sure if this works on a 17.

#3 They had no idea, said power fold just isnt an option and wasnt ever supported / cant help

 

 

Im hoping the brilliant minds in this forum can save the day for me here and help me pin down what exactly I need and if BCM programming is needed if it is possible.

 

On my Denali regular mirrors I have Auto down when reverse, Puddle Lamp, Signal, Auto Dimming, Power adjust, Power Fold (im not sure about the temperature sensor ?? I have read a bunch of different things on that ?)

 

I would greatly appreciate any help and to clarify this is specific to the 2017 Year model.

As far as the temp sensor, just look under the passenger side mirrr by the puddle lamp to see if it has the sensor.

As far as getting the mirrors to work, that shouldn't be an issue. Pgamboa on here is the master at these conversions. He will probably ask for a picture of the body side plug on your truck to verify if you have the pins present. Since you already have the dl3 mirrors, that shouldn't be a concern though. He has helped other members on here add the power folding tow mirrors as well with his custom harnesses. He makes it plug and play.

yes the LH 84041609 and RH 84228894 this has the sensor for diesel engines but will work (and its cheaper) than the one without. you will need door harnesses though. check out this ebay item 112359077014 or http://www.ebay.com/itm/15-18-Silverado-Sierra-Chrome-POWER-FOLD-Camper-Trailer-Tow-Mirror-Pkg-OEM-GM-/112359077014?rd=1

GM also makes manual fold if you want to go that route. thanks!

Resurrecting this thread. I'm buying my first Denali, and I want to add the power folding tow mirrors. 2017 Denali 1500

 

The dealer is telling me the mirrors won't power fold, but all other electronics will work. They're saying to order part 23372181, which is a package of two mirrors, I believe. Based on price alone, I assume this kit is different from the separate mirror and harness parts listed above. Perhaps these are the manual fold mirrors?
